{"id":143141,"date":"2023-07-01T22:53:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-01T20:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/aalten-achteruit\/bernard-andries-roelvink\/"},"modified":"2026-09-19T21:28:37","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T19:28:37","slug":"roelvink-bernard-andries","status":"publish","type":"persoon","link":"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/person\/roelvink-bernard-andries\/","title":{"rendered":"Bernard Andries Roelvink"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bernard Andries Roelvink was born in Bredevoort on 22 November 1818, the son of Mayor <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/persoon\/roelvink-arnoldus-florentinus\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arnoldus Florentinus Roelvink<\/a> and Elzab\u00e9 Maria Theodora ten Cate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 1843 to 1852, Roelvink served as clerk of the <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/government\/administration-justice\/administration-of-justice-in-aalten-1810-1877\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cantonal court<\/a> in Aalten; prior to this, he was a deputy public prosecutor at the district court (arrondissementsrechtbank) in Zutphen. On 6 April 1852, he was appointed notary in Aalten by Royal Decree, succeeding his father in the role. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 8 March 1853 until his death, Roelvink also served as a member of the Provincial Council of Gelderland for the <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/aalten-achteruit\/aalten-constituency\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aalten constituency<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bernard Andries Roelvink remained unmarried and died on 17 April 1882 at no. 385 in Aalten, now <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/place\/aalten\/haartsestraat\/old-post-office\/\" data-type=\"adres\" data-id=\"767\">Haartsestraat 10<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After his death, he was succeeded by <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/persoon\/maitland-john-bernard-william\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">J.B.W.
