Stationsstraat in Aalten begins as a side street off Landstraat and, after a bend, runs straight towards the railway station. The first section from Landstraat was formerly known as Koelmansstegge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questions we still have: the upper photograph shows that, before the memorial to people in hiding<\/a> was installed opposite the station, an attractive column stood there. What was this column? Was it a monument, and what did it represent?
