It begins as a side street off Landstraat and runs all the way to Koppelstraat. The street recalls Bredevoort\u2019s past as a fortified <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/war-resistance\/bredevoort-fortress\/fortified-town-bredevoort\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">garrison town<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No military buildings survive today, although several small town farmhouses remain. A striking feature is the alignment of the fa\u00e7ades, which step back and forth like the teeth of a saw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure data-wp-context=\"{&quot;imageId&quot;:&quot;6aaeba881876c&quot;}\"
