The building stood on land made available by committee member <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/persoon\/driessen-josephus-walter-julius\/\">Jos Driessen<\/a>, beside his villa on Dijkstraat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The small museum contained a reconstructed farmhouse kitchen and a separate room for historical objects. The association owned the building but not the land beneath it. When the plot was sold in 1955, the museum had to disappear and the building was demolished in 1956.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The history of the association is described under <a href=\"https:\/\/oldaalten.nl\/en\/organisation\/aalten-local-history-museum\/\">Aalten Local History Museum<\/a>.
