Saturday, 2 September 1615 – Deputy judge Joannes ter Woert, assessors Peter Cloeck and Johan ten Berge.
Appeared Henrick ter Clincke, acting for himself and for his wife Aelken, for whose ratification he stood surety; Johan Cappers and his wife Fenne; and Derick ten Lohuis and his wife Geesken. They acknowledged for themselves, the aforesaid wives and their heirs that, for a fully paid sum of money, they had lawfully, permanently and irrevocably sold and conveyed in hereditary sale to Henrick ten Hoevel, his wife Geesken, their two children born and surviving between them, and their heirs, their share, right and title in the Hoevel house and farm in the parish of Aalten, rural district of Lintelo, within its known boundaries, valued at 52 guilders, together with all appurtenances and rights. They ceded and transferred this property hereditarily for the benefit of their father Henrick Hoevelman, his wife Geesken, their two children and their heirs, and renounced it by hand, straw and word, promising warranty and legal confirmation according to local law. The sellers nevertheless reserved their lawful inheritance rights in the father’s remaining estate after his death, like his other children. A further condition stipulated that if Henrick Hoevelman, his wife and both their children died without bodily heirs, the aforesaid house, barn, farm and appurtenances, together with the rest of their estate, would revert to the sellers and their heirs, provided that they paid Geesken’s nearest heirs one rose noble and two rijksdaalders. Without exception or deceit.
