Overview
Barloseweg 3-5 includes the former Barlo-Dale public-school building at number 5. After the public primary school closed in 1922, the building was sold to Willem Piek, who established a blacksmith’s forge there.
The history of the public school, education in the rural districts of Barlo and Dale, and the closure in 1922 is recorded on the separate Organisation profile for Barlo-Dale Public Primary School. This Place page remains focused on the building, the later forge, residents, ownership and images.
