Overview
Eigen Hulp was a Roman Catholic co-operative consumer association in Bredevoort. It operated a shop at Landstraat 17, in the building known as the Ambthuis.
The 1934 address directory lists the Co-operative Shop “Eigen Hulp” at this address. The 1958 telephone directory likewise records “Eigen Hulp, R.K. Coöp. Verbruiksver.” at Landstraat 17. By the 1967 address directory the co-operative was no longer listed there; W.H. Betting and Miss J.W. Betting were then recorded as residents.
