Emigration to Argentina

After World War II, hundreds of people from Aalten emigrated to distant lands in search of a better life. Although the majority of them went to Canada, some Aalten residents went to other countries, including Argentina.

This was also the case for the Prinzen family. In 1955, they exchanged their farm in IJzerlo for a new life in Tres Arroyos, in the south-east of the Argentine province of Buenos Aires. Read their story:
