Overview
Youth centre ’t Ankertje opened in September 1967 as the result of an initiative within the Reformed Church in Aalten. Youth work expanded rapidly in the early 1960s, creating a need for a dedicated meeting place.
In 1960 a special committee set itself the task of establishing a Reformed youth centre. After the church council gave its approval, it was decided to build the centre behind the Westerkerk.
