Overview
This building stood on the corner by the present-day exit from Lage Blik near Action. It formerly housed, among other things, a forge and later Manschot’s grocery shop, a butcher’s shop and a bicycle shop.
During the Second World War, the local distribution office was located here. This government office was responsible for distributing scarce goods such as food, clothing and fuel. Residents used ration cards and registration cards to obtain products that were subject to rationing.
The buildings at Kerkstraat 17 to 23 were demolished around 1975 to make way for an Albert Heijn supermarket. Today, Action occupies the site.
