The Facebook page ‘Aalten pop culture in the 1960s & 1970s’ gives the following account of Et in Terra:
ET IN TERRA, 1970–1974
In June 1970 the youth club Et in Terra was founded in Bredevoort. Its initiators were Tonny Ubbink and Willem Jonker. Visitors from across the surrounding area came to the premises in Koppelstraat, where records were played, beer was sold without a catering licence and drugs were not unknown either. Et in Terra later also organised beat evenings at Ons Huis, featuring acts including Solution and CCC Inc. After about four years the founders stopped, and the building was used temporarily as living accommodation until Hans ten Barge opened café De Koppele there.
