Als Ruel komen wij de boerderij in 1438 tegen. In 1618 was ook deze boerderij van jonker Voorst van Hagen. Er behoorde toen 10 molder bouwland bij, een dagwerk groenland en wat hout en heidegrond.

Verpondingscohier 1647

In de transcriptie van het verpondingscohier van 1647 komt in IJzerlo t‘ Rule niet voor terwijl de boerderij toen al eeuwenlang bestond. Wel komt een boerderij voor die ‘Lammers Vule‘ wordt genoemd: “Lammers Vule, Jor. Smullincks erfgen. Huis, hof 1 1/2 sp. boulant 10 mdr., 3de gerve 83 – 6 – 8. Geeft 2 hoender, end pontschatt. Eijcken boomen.” Deze naam komt in geen enkel ander document voor.

Eigenaars waren de erfgenamen van Jor. Smullincks en bouwman was Nellis ten Rule. In 1658 was Jan Smullinck eigenaar van ‘het Erff ende guedtt t’Grote Ruijll inden Buhrschap Iserloe‘ (Volontaire Protocollen). Michaelis 1647 werd Lammert Keveskamp op t‘ Rule, wonende in IJzerlo, lidmaat in Aalten.

Nadere bestudering van de naam ‘Lammers Vule‘ in het originele verpondingscohier doet vermoeden dat dit een leesfout van de transcribenten betreft en dat er in werkelijkheid ‘Lammert Rule’ staat. Het Rule van Lammert Keveskamp dus.

Een scheerdoos met ingebouwde scheerspiegel en met inhoud betreffende negentien losse onderdelen: zeepkom met steen, scheermes in doosje, los mes in drie onderdelen, zes Gillette scheermesjes, scheerkwast, zeep in scheerstaaf, houder voor scheerstaaf, ‘styptic pencil’ tegen bloeden en een reclamefolder. De heer Jan Scheelhaas ontving deze doos met inhoud als afscheidscadeau bij zijn vertrek als boerenknecht van boer H.Th. Kämink van ’t Roele, waar hij woonde en werkte van 27-10-1949 tot 02-11-1953.
